The City of Bolivar Community Development Department is seeking community feedback on
local transportation through a new survey.
The survey, which was developed in partnership with the Southwest Missouri Council of
Governments, will be open to the public through Thursday, Sept. 8.
Participants can visit smcog.org/bolivartransportationsurvey to find the survey online.
It features questions and seeks comments on several topics connected to the city’s
transportation system, including streets, sidewalks and trails. Through the survey, staff will work
to complete a transportation plan for the city.
City of Bolivar Community Development Supervisor Kyle Lee said the survey’s benefits for the
City of Bolivar and the community are multifaceted.
“The work of creating a transportation plan is important for future development planning, as well
as for improvements of existing infrastructure,” he said.
Lee said the survey will guide department leaders not only today, but also as they make plans
for the future.
